The focus is on fish & seafood, wine & champagne. Guests meet here for an early-morning cappuccino, enjoy a fresh croissant or pick up a coffee to go on their way to the office.
At lunchtime, dishes are prepared on the grill in front of the guests amid the lively, market-hall atmosphere on the Dallmayr shop floor. And even after the store closes, the pleasure continues, with the hustle and bustle making way for relaxed evening vibes and fine electro music.
Under the lead of head chef Sabine Kriegl-Schreiner, guests can expect creative, cosmopolitan dishes. These are inspired by exciting culinary trends that she discovers on her travels through the world’s major cities, resulting in exciting creations that are rich in flavour whilst cleverly combining ingredients.
Seasonal dishes, light meals and desserts to share are prepared à la minute for the guests. The menu features Dallmayr classics with a modern twist, such as the bouillabaisse and lobster, along with new taste sensations.
From 11:30 am, guests can experience a special barbecue atmosphere. For this is when our team starts preparing fresh fish and seafood like lobster, scallops and cod on the Japanese robata grill, built especially for the bar and restaurant. Diners can observe the cooks as they grill and prepare their dishes, or simply sit back and enjoy the special ambience.
Whether before or after work, for a quick espresso, for lunch, or even to warm up before moving on to a club – guests meet up and socialize at the bar and bistro tables throughout the day. They can also choose from a wide selection of wines and champagnes, many of which are served by the glass from a magnum.
Thanks to a fine appreciation of the delicatessen’s interior and an eye for detail, the Bar & Grill’s modern flair blends in perfectly with its historical surroundings. Elements of the store dating from the 1910s serve as inspiration and are reflected in the interior design. The sturdy, tin bar counter and mirrored surfaces so typical of the era are transported creatively through time into the present day.
The centrepiece is the bar, adorned with hand-made turquoise ceramic tiles. These are reminiscent of fish scales, and combined with numerous other details, establish a sense of “the sea” in the minds of our guests. Seats upholstered in green leather and materials like marble and oak wall panelling, which are all so typical for Dallmayr, provide the finishing touches and add to the location’s unique atmosphere. Depending on the time of day, the mood can vary from cosy and relaxed to lively and urban or hip and energetic.
