Coffee Enjoyment during Oktberfest and all year round

How Dallmayr connects Tradition and Innovation

When the Theresienwiese in Munich comes alive again in September, coffee plays a surprisingly big role among beer steins and pretzels. The traditional Dallmayr house has been a long-standing partner and brings first-class coffee enjoyment to the festival tents at the Wiesn. But coffee is much more than just a hot drink – it tells stories that fascinate all year round.

Coffee – from souvenir mugs to Espresso Martini

Tradition meets innovation: in the Schützen-Festzelt, Dallmayr coffee is served in specially designed Wiesn mugs that not only impress visually but also help to bring out the coffee’s aroma. The shape and material of the cup play an important role. Thick-walled cups keep the temperature longer, while the shape directs the aroma to the nose – a true enjoyment for all senses.

New at the Armbrustschützenzelt is the Espresso Martini – a modern coffee interpretation. The drink is not only a visual highlight but also a taste experience that takes classic coffee preparation to a new level.

Espresso Martini – a drink with history and energy

The Espresso Martini, an icon among cocktails, was created in the late 1980s by bartender Dick Bradsell at Fred’s Bar in London. It combines the stimulating effect of espresso with the elegance of a classic cocktail. Allegedly, the drink was invented at the request of a now world-famous model. The cocktail tastes best in a martini glass – hence the name. The drink itself contains no Martini but is made from strong espresso, vodka, and sweet coffee liqueur.

For coffee fans, the Espresso Martini is an exciting example of how versatile coffee can be – as a hot beverage, cold refreshment, or in cocktail form. Especially at the Wiesn, the drink bridges traditional coffee passion and modern bar culture. To make it easy, Dallmayr has launched the Espresso Martini as a convenient pre-mix in a 3-liter stand-up pouch. Whether prepared in a bar shaker or with the innovative Nitro device – the cocktail can be served in no time and at top quality. But even without the pre-mix, you can easily make it at home.
